Five kilometers east of Tinos Town and along the southern coast of the island, you'll find one of the loveliest, cleanest beaches on the island, and also one of the most popular. This beach is the beginning of a very long stretch of award-winning beachfront and crystal clear water. It extends as far as the start of Porto Beach, though midway, the name changes to Skilandari. This is one of the best swimming areas for children, as the water is shallow and gentle and its depth increases gradually. You’ll find plenty of tavernas well spaced along the beach, some lovely holiday accommodation, and even a handy mini market. But, be warned, parking is not easy to find.
