Welcome to Kini!
Long known as a small fishing village, Kini has now developed a very good tourist infrastructure, offering a wide range of accommodation. It is situated on the west coast of Syros, just 8 kilometers (5 miles) from the capital, and is beautifully positioned to take advantage of lovely sunsets. There are a variety of tavernas, most specializing in fresh fish and seafood, plus cafes and a mini market. The beach is sandy and offers clean and safe swimming. While in the area, take time to visit the lovely Monastery of Aghia Varvara, noted for its handcrafts and woven linens.
