This is a lovely, very long sandy beach wedged between the town and Ai. Sostis. Various areas of the beach have some minimal greenery for shade, and the main area near the town's heliport has an organized section, with a beach snack bar, water sports, and a lifeguard tower. A main road runs along the beach, and in the high season months of July and August, there is bus service to the area. Since the beach has only an occasional taverna or snack bar, it does not attract huge crowds. It is an ideal spot for people who shy away from crowds and who do not need or want a seafront full of tavernas.
