Classical Greece: 3-Day Full Tour of the Classics

Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus

On our first day, we'll leave by the coastal road to the Corinth Canal for a short stop, then drive on to visit the Theater of Epidauros, famous for its remarkable acoustics. We'll proceed to the town of Nauplion (short photo stop), drive on to Mycenae and visit the Archaeological Site and the Tomb of Agamemnon, then on to Olympia through Central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Dinner and overnight in Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games. The following morning, we'll visit the Archaeological Site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium and the Archaeological Museum, then drive on through the plains of Eliad and Achaia until the magnificent bridge which is crossing the Corinthian Bay from Rion to Antirion. Passing by the picturesque towns of Nafpactos (Lepanto) and Itea, we arrive in Delphi, where we'll have dinner and a second overnight. In the morning we visit the Archaeological Site and the Museum, with a couple of hours free time in Delphi before our departure to Arachova, renowned for its colorful rugs and carpets. We return to Athens via Levadia and Thebes, arriving early in the evening.
