Dionyssos

8 Days / 7 Nights: Mykonos (3 nights) - Paros (3 nights) - Athens (1 night)

8 Days / 7 Nights: Mykonos (3 nights) - Paros (3 nights) - Athens (1 night)

Mykonos Town, Space Bar

This holiday itinerary has only one focus ... beaches by day, and clubs by night! Not for the faint-hearted (lots of stamina is required), and not at all for quiet holiday-seekers, this program is designed for non-stop partying, with lots of guilty pleasures. When it comes to partying, Mykonos has long been "the place to be and to be seen." Hands down, beaches and clubs are among the country's best, and their reputation is well-earned and surely not a myth. On the other hand, up-and-comer, Paros, is not sitting idle on the sidelines. They're eager to take the crown from Mykonos, and they're pulling out all the stops!  The combination of the two island destinations is a slam/dunk for us, and a pairing that's sure to please even the most decadent party-goer (or wannabe).

Day 1

Athens International Airport, Mykonos (Island)

Mykonos Elia Beach: First visitors!
Mykonos Elia Beach: First visitors!

At Athens International Airport, connect from your international flight to a domestic flight to Mykonos. On arrival at Mykonos, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your Mykonos accommodation. The rest of the day and evening are free to hit the beaches and the clubs, and start enjoying the life that has made Mykonos so famous. If you're a real party animal, sun or moon prevailing, you'll find that the bus service on Mykonos is good to go 24-hours-a-day. This is ideal, when you've had a few to many! Overnight Mykonos.

Day 2

Mykonos (Island)

Jet-Ski on Kalafatis Beach
Jet-Ski on Kalafatis Beach

Another glorious day for the beach. If you're in decent shape from last night's partying, you might want to take a jeep and do some beach-hopping. Since Mykonos has so many fantastic beaches, it's extremely difficult to pick just one for the day. They're not all the same either ... you can choose Kalafatis for great water sports; Paradise for non-stop partying; Panormos for windsurfing; Super Paradise for some nude sunbathing, or Kapari, which is very quiet and a good cure for a hangover! Overnight Mykonos.

Day 3

Mykonos (Island)

Mykonos Houlakia Beach
Mykonos Houlakia Beach

Off to the beach again! For great scenery, try the beach of Houlakia, just after San Stefano (try that one too ... it's a good beach!). Houlakia looks across the 6km-wide strait separating Mykonos from the island of Tinos. The current in the strait "sculpts" the rocks of Houlakia into smooth round and oval shapes. Be aware, however, that this beach is actually protected by law, and it's forbidden to take away souvenirs. This is also a pretty spot to watch the ferries passing between the two islands, and ferries coming down through the strait from Samos and Ikaria. Since this is your last night on Mykonos, have fun doing some club-hopping in Mykonos Town. Watch your time though, you're transfer to Paros will be early the next morning. On the other hand, you can always stay up all night and party on! Overnight Mykonos.

Day 4

Mykonos (Island), Paros (Island)

Paros Saint George Beach
Paros Saint George Beach

After breakfast, our representative will transfer you to the port for your highspeed catamaran departure for Paros. You'll be met on Paros and transferred to your accommodation, then the rest of the day is free to explore Parikia, the main town of Paros. You'll also find shops, restaurants and beaches in Naoussa Town, north of Parikia, which certainly rivals the capital for abundance of nightlife. Paros has a great variety of beaches covering its long coastline, with Golden Beach being the main windsurfing area. In fact, this beach is host to the annual World Cup of Windsurfing. Equipment and instruction is available. You can find some "unofficial" nude sunbathing not far from Naoussa on Monastiri Beach; snorkeling is good just about everywhere, and Naoussa runs a water taxi to get to a couple of more remote beaches. Overnight Paros.

Day 5

Paros (Island)

Paros Kite Surfing in Pounda Area
Paros Kite Surfing in Pounda Area

Your second day to continue your explorations of the great beaches of Paros. If you haven't already discovered, you'll find a party atmosphere in Pounda (day and night), along with an opportunity to try some bungee jumping ... hey, why not! Pounda is situated on the southeast coast of Paros. You can take the bus, but there's a "hilly" walk afterward. There's a pretty good party scene going on there, so it's worth the effort. You'll find a similar party atmosphere at Monastiri, the unofficial nude beach mentioned previously, which is at the west side of Naoussa. There's a water taxi leaving from Naoussa, which is one of the easiest and nicest ways to get there. Overnight.

Day 6

Paros (Island)

Paros, Golden Beach
Paros, Golden Beach

If you feel like doing something a little different today, why not take the boat across from Pounda (10-minute crossing) or Parikia (25-minute crossing) to Antiparos? Of late, Antiparos is becoming the favorite of some jet-setting celebrities. It's quite small and easy to tour, and there are some pretty beaches and the famous cave, which offers daily tours. The cave is about 90 meters deep, though not all of that is accessible to the public. The magnificent stalactites and stalagmites create a very mysterious and breathtaking atmosphere, and the visit is a must for anyone interested in viewing one of the spectacles of nature. On the other hand, if you're beginning to run out of steam, you'll find easy access to beaches dotted around your accommodation in Parikia or Naoussa. Overnight Paros.

Day 7

Paros (Island), Athens City

Athens Acropolis by Night
Athens Acropolis by Night

After breakfast, meet our representative and transfer to the port for your departure to the mainland. On arrival, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Athens. During the afternoon and evening, you'll have a chance to rest up and recover from your wild island holiday and do some last-minute, or neglected, holiday gift shopping. The Plaka area has a nice atmosphere and lots of shops and tavernas, with most roads in the center closed to traffic. If you haven't gotten your fill of clubbing, you'll have many choices for your last night. Don't be misled by the volumes of photos that you've seen of the cultural sites of the city; there's more to Athens than meets the eye. After all, Athens is the entertainment capital of Greece! There are lots of clubs in the area of Psiri (or Psirri), which is a very hip area for young Athenians. On a more expensive note, if you still have money in your pocket, there are a lot of nightclubs in and around Athens, featuring live entertainment by some of the biggest names in the Greek music scene, both pop and traditional. It is an experience that everyone should have, at least once in a lifetime! Overnight Athens.

Day 8

Athens City, Athens International Airport

Athens International Airport
Athens International Airport

After breakfast, meet our representative and transfer to Athens International Airport for your return flight. If you don't sleep for the entire flight home, we offer you one free dinner, or several free drinks, on your next trip with us back to Mykonos! Same time next year?
