Aliartos Town

On the main road from Thiva to Livadia and Arachova, Aliartos is a most ancient settlement, situated by the Kopais Plain, which has been created by draining the Kopais Lake by a British company 110 years ago. The draining of the lake showed that it had been drained also by the Myceneans three thousand years before!
