Kimi Town
Kimi Town |
Welcome to Kimi!
Kimi is one of the oldest towns in Evia and is miraculously perched high above the sea. The folklore museum, ancient ruins, as well as the Byzantine monastery, are the main attractions on this mid-point of Evia.
Most tend to not be aware that Evia is the second largest island, next to Crete, lying very close to the mainland. Blanketed by plenty of woodland, it is where ferryboats and hydrofoils depart for the Sporadic islands of Skyros, Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonissos.
Kimi has been known since ancient times, and it is said that the town existed even before the Trojan War.
